Welcome to the Association of Tourist Railways Queensland Inc.

The ATRQ was established to collectively represent the interests of our member Tourist and Heritage Railways, to preserve the railway history, and ensure the continuing viability of operating Tourist Railways in Queensland.

The Association’s members are operators of heritage and tourist railways or other organisations based in Queensland, with an interest in the preservation and operation of rail heritage for all Australians, and visitors to our country.

What’s on this Site?

The site is made up of a number of pages containing information about our Members, Objectives, Rules and the Committee. The Resource page is designed to be a repository of handy current information that can affect our member groups, or assist in their ongoing viability.  The News Page will have stories submitted by our member groups, or articles from the main stream media that are relevant to our groups. Member groups are welcome to submit their stories for publication here, and also to tell us what they think needs to be on these pages.

ATRQ inc is a member of the Association of Tourist Railways Australia.
